This is a blessed (by Thai monks) braided Sai Sin cotton bracelet that is attached by tying two ends around the wrist in traditional Buddhist tradition. There are some white plastic beads. The style of these bracelets is popular with Thais, usually, the adults get a traditional brown bracelet and most kids also get a bracelet of some sort when they come to the temple. The length of these is such that it fits infants and small children (under about 8 years old).

What is Sai Sin?

A Sai Sin bracelet in Thailand is a sacred thread used in Buddhist ceremonies for protection and blessings.
