Description
This is from a batch of Ajahn Jamnian good luck pendants that are released at the Wat Tham Seua Theravada Buddhist temple every couple of years. Wat Tham Seua (Wat Tum Sua) is also known as the Tiger Cave Temple. Not to be confused with the one near Bangkok in Kanchanaburi.
This pendant is one of Aj. Jamnian’s best and it is specifically for good luck with matters related to money, income, and business. The front and back are in the tricolor style – representing the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The Buddhist trinity.
There is a portrait of Aj. Jamnian, the abbot of the temple, is on the front of this tri-colored amulet. On the reverse side is a bag of money (gold) surrounded by Chinese good luck symbols (animals). This is Phra Jamnian’s signature style good luck pendant and one you can see repeated in the styles over the decades. He has been a monk since he was young – around 50 years ago.
Who Is Phra Ajahn Jumnien Good Luck Monk?
Ajahn Jamnian Seelsettho is a monk over 80 years old and the abbot of Wat Tham Seua (Tum Sua) temple in Krabi province, Ampur T. Krabi Noi, 81000, Thailand. Translated this Buddhist temple name means, Temple Cave Tiger, or, more commonly known as Tiger Cave Temple. I have seen MANY special edition good luck pendants from this temple, but have never seen one with tiger fur embedded under the waterproof seal. This is a unique amulet and one that you will be very glad to own.
This well-respected Theravada Buddhist monk has several sacred pendants he carries with him – attached to his Thai Buddhist monk robes and in his small bag as he walks around the temple. Each year he creates a number of unique and highly collectible special edition pendants with his personal blessing.
If you are lucky enough to arrive at the Wat Tham Seua temple during one of these pendant ceremonies it is really something special to behold. He was born on May 1st and in 2016 he is 79 years old, turning 80 this year. He is a very knowledgeable meditation teacher and he frequently travels worldwide to the USA, meeting with Jack Kornfield to teach meditation courses in California as well as Malaysia, Singapore, Burma, the UK, and India.
It seems that only rarely does he make it back home to Thailand! Ajahn Jamnian Seelsettho – sometimes spelled “Jumnearn” or “Jumnean” is a highly revered monk whose pendants are quickly becoming collector’s items.
Ajahn Jamnian is one of the very few high-level monks who is a master in the magical arts, so to speak. Because he is a meditation master he can reach the supramundane levels of Jhana and likely Abhinna (Abhijna) as well. The pendants he creates and blesses are some of the most important and powerful that come out of Thailand.
You can be sure that you have one of the best when you purchase any of his good luck amulets.
