We have only seen two of these special edition Phra Pidta pendants anywhere before. We bought them both immediately for a number of reasons. The first being the scarcity of the amulets. In the entire temple and outskirts – pendant shops around the Mahathat temple in Nakhon Si Thammarat, there were only 2 of these pendants ever found over the course of the 7 years we’ve been in business and looking for amulets. That says a lot!

Phra Pidta pendants are best for increasing money coming in, wealth, and business prosperity.

Another reason is because the quality of the amulet, the detail, is just stunning. This is one of the most detailed pendants we’ve ever seen. Detail means quality. Well, detail plus materials, plus location of the origination of the pendant – means quality. That’s better. This pendant has all of these.

Phra Pidta is a monk seated with no clothes visible. His hands are covering his face from the front, and he is seated in a full or half-lotus position as he is deep in Jhana meditation. It symbolizes that he is deep within himself, inside the magical place of Jhana and possibly abhinna experiences. Abhinna are supernatural experiences that can occur when someone is able to reach the fourth Jhana.

This pendant is of the highest quality.

Amulet Description

Phra Pidta is seated in a full lotus position balanced on top of the god Rahu. On top of Phra Pidta’s head are two layers of lotus leaf flowers and a Naga snake on top of that. Around the circumference of Phra Pidta’s head are seven Nagas (serpents) with three on each side, one top center. The figures are three dimensional die-cast, and not flat.

On the reverse side are concentric circles encircled with star patterns, Pali characters, magical characters, the Chinese zodiac, and special blessing arrangement.

The pendant is 1/8 inch thick (3 mm) and 1 1/4th inches (3.3 cm) in diameter.

Solid copper.
