This is a small (3/4 inch high) highly detailed (one of our best) emerald Buddha pendant from the famous Wat Phra Gaew in Bangkok, Thailand – the home of the original Emerald Buddha. The original emerald Buddha was made in Sri Lanka and on the way to Burma when it was hijacked and taken to Cambodia, then Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand, and now it is in Bangkok at the Wat Phra Gaew Buddhist temple in Thailand.

Every year the King of Thailand changes the garments of the Emerald Buddha as a good luck ceremony corresponding with the summer, winter, and rainy seasons. This is believed to bring good weather and fortune to the Kingdom of Thailand.

The case has a lovely 14K gold plating and is triangle and rounded. This is our best small emerald Buddha and we sell a great many of these amulets.
