Stone Carved White Buddha Statue (2 available)

Description

This was another fantastic premium authentic Buddha we had no idea we’d find at the temple. We love days when we find new Buddhist items like this! This is a hand-carved Buddha figure with a lovely radiant peak surrounding Buddha’s head like the Chinnarat style of Buddhas that are so popular in Thailand and around the world.

The Magee (Buddhist nun) at Wat Mahathat temple did not know which stone it was, but it looks like either marble, limestone, white granite, or maybe jade. The stonework is very high quality and the Buddha has a very human-looking face with a glow to it. Buddha is sitting in a typical meditation position.

There is no case for this statue, but it will make a fine addition to anyone’s Theravada Buddhist altar. The back of this pendant is relatively featureless, but polished and smooth.

Please keep in mind – Thailand restricts sending through mail any Buddha image (statue/amulet) that is bigger than 5 cm high. This one is bigger. We cannot ship it outside of Thailand. If you live in Thailand, we can sell to you. If you have a friend here, you can have the friend receive it in Thailand and you can take it home in your suitcase or carry on luggage when you return home.
