This is one of our favorite Buddhist temples in Thailand. They have no pendants for sale, but they do have some amazing forest environments to walk through. Buddhadasa Bhikku founded this temple and has since passed on. He was one of our favorite monks.
He authored a lot of meditation books that we read before beginning meditation like, “No Religion” and “Handbook for Mankind.”
He rebelled against the mainstream Bangkok-based Buddhism and went about interpreting the Pali Cannon directly – without assistance. He was a pioneer in the “forest monastery” concept of practice and he is widely revered by Buddhists across the world.

Hanging Skeletons are often seen as morbid by Westerners in Buddhism they’re used as a teaching tool to show that it’s the soul that matters not the body.
